Ratings
How do ratings work and what do they mean?
USATT Ratings are a numerical system. The higher the number, the better player you are. By playing in USATT sanctioned tournaments, you will be assigned a rating based on how you performed against opponents of varying skill levels. By continuing to play as you practice, you will have opportunities to move upward in the rating system. To give you a rough idea of what these ratings might mean, here is a rough interpretation of what you could expect.
